Naad yoga council

The quiet home of a living discipline

Naad Yoga Council is a global community dedicated to preserving, advancing, and sharing the tradition of Naad — the yoga of sound as taught by Guru Nanak — and to carrying it forward with rigour, depth, and humanity.

These teachings are not a theory to be studied from the outside. They are a practice — one that, as it is integrated, gradually transforms the way we relate to ourselves, to others, and to the world. Naad Yoga is ancient. It is also completely alive. This council exists to keep it that way.

Rooted. Growing. Continuing

Building Community

The tradition is carried by people. Teachers, therapists, students, researchers — one community, different roles.

Why the Council Exists

Traditions disappear in two ways. Some become museums. Others become diluted. The Council exists so Naad Yoga becomes neither. It remains alive — faithful to its roots, accessible to anyone who genuinely seeks it, and rigorous enough to be trusted.

The Lineage

Rooted in Guru Nanak.

Carried by Professor Surinder Singh.

Professor Surinder Singh has dedicated his life to the preservation and transmission of the tradition of Naad Yoga as taught by Guru Nanak. A master of sound, lineage, and transmission, he has carried this teaching across continents with fidelity, depth, and humility. He is the initiator and honorary member of the Naad Yoga Council.
